Enduro
THE ONE BIKE QUIVER KILLER.
With the advent of 40-60 minute long Downhill races like Mountain of Hell and the Ashland 12-Mile – the need for a new style of mountain bike has emerged. Some call them Enduro bikes; other Super-D. What they’re called is irrelevant. What they’re capable of – serving as a trail bike during the week and a downhill bike that’s capable of handling short, technical climbs, on the weekends – is anything but.
Yeti 575
The 575 has been one of Yeti’s most popular bikes for years. It’s extremely versatile – built up with lightweight wheels and a triple crank set, it feels like a cross-country bike with loads of travel. Throw on burlier wheels, a single chainring, and a longer travel fork and the bike is transformed into an all-mountain machine.
As the longest standing full suspension bike in Yeti’s line, the 575 has been transformed with countless improvements over the years. Last year saw a complete redesign that included a hydro-formed main pivot junction to increase the stiffness and clearance, a direct-mount front derailleur, ISCG ’03 tabs, and cable stops for dropper seat posts. This year, Yeti added a new custom butted rear triangle to the impact strength and stiffness of the rear end while maintaining the same weight. They also added an inset tapered head tube to increase front-end stiffness, as well as a re-designed down tube with greater fork clearance.

Yeti SB66
At the heart of the SB-66 is the Switch Technology which combines super efficient pedaling platform combined with controlled, smooth travel. This makes the SB-66 extremely versatile and fits the bill for those looking for a do-it-all bike. All-day rides in the backcountry? Check. Super-D race or a day in the bike park? No problem.
The progressive geometry and Switch Technology gives the bike a more aggressive feel that begs to be pushed hard. The more rider input – the better it rides. The frame can handle the abuse – the fully alloy chassis has an inset tapered head tube, oversized pivot pins, and a compact assembly that houses the integral parts of the suspension design, all key components for making the frame stiff and responsive.
The SB66 is setting the bar for all-mountain performance. Throw a leg over one and experience it for yourself.
